Chikudo Ji-nashi shakuhachi 2.0 in D – grade *** – Japanese Madake

This ji-nashi shakuhachi is made from a dried piece of Madake bamboo brought back from the last autumn journey in Kyushu; its root end is twisted giving its specific character. The foot is strengthened with 3 bindings to secure 2 surface cracks.
Beautiful rich neiro (tone colour), plain and stable Ro; this very good ji-nashi offers an excellent response and bamboo resonnance (chikuin).
