Made from a gorgeous piece of Kyushu madake with dark patterns and spots very wabi-sabi.
There are four bindings (soon replaced by inlaid rattan ones for better looking) that prevent cracks appeared during the straightening process from getting worse.
This high grade Ji-nashi is powerful and flexible in tone with a rich complex tone-color and a great response from low to high volume.
Well tuned and balanced up to high in Dai-kan with confortable fingerings (right handed only).
A great shakuhachi that can be explored for years !
