Made from a nicely curved piece of Kyushu madake bamboo with beautiful dark patterns above the utaguchi.
This Ji nashi has a warm tone color and plays perfectly in tune. Otsu no Ro is plain and stable
The tonal balance regarding volume and stability is uneven meaning that it’s not a shakuhachi for loud and powerful breathing but rather intimate playing and search for tone colors. (the reason for a grade **)
